怎样对待中间性
|
社会-文化的态度
- 宗教传统
|
总的来说,在单神论和家长制的犹太教、基督教和伊斯兰教里,人的性在传统上有三个基本的层面,它们被清晰地定义,是绝对的和不可更改的:
|
- 性(Sex):
男人与女人是截然不同的自然人(圣经第一章第二十七节“上帝创造了男人和女人”)。没有第三种选择。
- 性别(Gender):
男性与女性也是截然不同的,并且要么归属于一个性别要么归属于另一个性别。两者都不得过分超越其传统性别角色的自然分界。男人有一定的特权,但是在着装或行为方面不得显示女性的特征;女人不得显示男性的特征并且不得做为男人保有的工作(常指劳累、艰苦、需要智力等的工作。——译者注)。
- 性取向(Sexual
orientation):
异性恋是自然的准则,双性恋和同性恋必须受到压制。
|
|
在单神论的含义里,词语“自然的”意指“按照上帝的旨意”或“按照上帝的自然法则”。它不是科学的、不是中立的、也不是不加限定的术语,而是一个褒义的宗教价值判断。所以,归根结底,此处所指的“自然的”简直就意味着“上帝”。相反,背离上帝的旨意就是恶。

Intersexuality - Dealing with Intersexuality
|
Socio-cultural Attitudes - Religious Traditions
|
In the great monotheistic, patriarchal religions -
Judaism, Christianity, Islam - there is a tradition of having the three basic aspects of human sexuality clearly defined as absolute and unchangeable:
|
- Sex:
Maleness and femaleness are distinct natural human attributes (Genesis 1:27: “God created them as male and female”). There is no third option.
- Gender:
Masculinity and femininity are also quite distinct and clearly assigned to one or the other sex. Neither must go beyond the natural boundaries of their traditional gender roles. Males have certain privileges, but must not display feminine traits in dress or behavior; females must not display masculine traits and must not perform tasks reserved for males.
- Sexual orientation:
Heterosexuality is the natural norm, bisexuality and homosexuality must be suppressed.

|
The word “natural”, in the monotheistic sense, means “in accordance with God’s design” or “in accordance with God’s natural law”. It is not a scientific, neutral, descriptive term, but a positive religious value judgment. In the final analysis, therefore, “natural” here simply means “good”. Conversely, deviations from God’s design are bad.
