Critical Introduction - The Meaning of Sexual Health

What is Sexual Health?
Scientific Progress?
The history of science shows that the concept of healthy sex always reflected a consensus between different social groups, and that consensus shifted in the course of time. This will always be so. However, it is likely that, in the future, any new consensus will be broader than the one before. Indeed, the various interests that come into play here are becoming more articulate and use all modern media, including the internet, to find their audience. More and more formerly silent voices are being heard. This, in turn, forces all applied sciences to become more self-critical, and this can only increase their usefulness for all concerned.
